WR Released, WR Signed

The Vikings made a roster move yesterday in releasing converted WR Roderick Rogers. A former Wisconsin Badger, he spent time on the Vikings practice squad last year while playing safety. He was moved to WR earlier this off-season, but it apparently didn't work out.

The team filled Rogers vacated roster spot today by signing WR Bobby Williams of North Alabama (like this team needs any more Williams'). Williams is a lanky WR at 6'3 and 196 pounds. There's not much other information about him available.
  • The training camp dates, at least the beginning and end have been set. The team will hold its first open practice on July 31st and the last public practice will be on August 12th. That is considerably shorter than last season when they were in Mankato from July 25 to August 15th.
