Sharper a Saint

Darren Sharper has finally found a new home and it's with the New Orleans Saints. The veteran safety was rumored to be going to New Orleans since before free agency began, but he had not officially agreed to terms until today. The contract details still have not been released.

Sharper, who produced his lowest INT total since the 1998 season last year, had received some interest from the Chicago Bears as well. The Vikings most certainly will allow the safety job opposite Madieu Williams to be 2nd year man Tyrell Johnson's to lose.
  • It's been a slow week with the Vikings news, that is unless you're into all the Jay Cutler drama. I've yet to see anything official that the Vikings are interested in trading for the Denver QB and I have a hard time believing they would after acquiring Rosenfels. I'm not saying Cutler wouldn't be an upgrade, but I just don't see it happening.
  • One mock draft has the Vikings taking WR Jeremy Maclin of Missouri, while another has them taking CB Vontae Davis of Illinois.
